Magical Murals : Louis Norton’s Gift to the Children of Kennebunkport

Kennebunkport artist, Louis Norton was well know in the early 1900s for creating murals that one could walk right into and escape present day. The Library is very fortunate to own such murals in the Children’s Room painted by the artist in 1930. Mr. Norton’s gift to the children of Kennebunkport are wonderful depictions of classic rhymes and fairy tales and is the only collection of its kind in the entire country.
