The Climate Initiative and Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library invite you to a special event on Saturday, April 30 at 11:00 am.  To celebrate Earth Month, please join us for  a virtual Meet the Author & Climate Chat with climate scientist and national bestselling author, Dr. Katharine Hayhoe. Dr. Katharine Hayhoe is an atmospheric scientist whose research focuses on understanding what climate change means for people and the places where we live. She is the Chief Scientist for The Nature Conservancy and a Horn Distinguished Professor and Endowed Professor of Public Policy and Public Law in the Dept. of Political Science at Texas Tech University. Katharine has been named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People, the United Nations Champion of the Environment, and the World Evangelical Alliance’s Climate Ambassador.

Her book, “Saving Us: A Climate Scientist’s Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World,” was released in September 2021 and is already a national bestseller. 

Dr. Hayhoe will be answering questions about Saving Us (moderated by TCI’s executive director Jono Anzalone).  Copies of the book will be available for sale with signed bookplates by the author! 

The event will be held both digitally and up to 50 spots will be available for in-person viewing at the Library, with a small reception following the chat from 12pm-1pm with light bites.
