In celebration of National Poetry Month\, Mulholland will introduce her play\, which will be staged in Portland this April. Attendees are invited to delve into the genius and enduring mystery of Emily Dickinson\, reflecting on the question\, “What is the poetic impulse?” Participants are encouraged to bring and read a favorite Emily Dickinson poem\, or another poem of their choosing\, and to share thoughts on why certain poems resonate with them. Patricia will also discuss the unique process of translating poems into song and invite discussion about the poets that inspire us today.
