GROUND-BREAKING FOR THE MOTHERS WING.
Yes, we’re about to start construction of the “Mothers Wing,” the new addition to the Library that will increase the value of its many and varied programs to our community. The good news is that the “Mothers Wing” with its basement and two upper levels, while consuming no larger footprint than the recently razed annex, the Perkins house, will offer twice the usable space while modernizing and expanding the ability of the cultural center of Kennebunkport to carry its many services to the surrounding area.
At 10:00 am on Monday, January 23, Ouellet Construction Company of Brunswick and the Library staff will break-ground on this historic addition. Please join us in witnessing this significant event in Kennebunkport’s history.
The Library has been the fortunate recipient of donations for this project from over 400 generous individuals and families, and several foundations.  We have raised nearly 70% of the funds necessary to complete the “Mothers Wing.”  Your help is still needed.  If you have not donated to this civic-minded campaign, would you, please?  If you have already donated, we are most grateful, and thank you…and if you find your wallet can afford a bit more we welcome your additional generosity.
