TOM BRADY BIOGRAPHER LARS ANDERSON

October 2 @ 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

“New York Times” bestselling author and former “Sports Illustrated” journalist Lars Anderson will discuss his recently published biography of football phenomenon Tom Brady—“Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness”—with “Portland Press Herald” sportswriter Travis Lazarczyk on Friday, October 2, at 6 PM at the Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library. The event is part of the Patsy Bray Mahoney Lecture Series and is free and open to the public. Anderson’s “Brady” book will be sold at the event, and the author will be available for book signing after his presentation. From more than 350 original interviews with people who know the quarterback on and off the field, Anderson paints a detailed psychological portrait of Tom Brady, the most accomplished player in NFL history. Brady is a self-described loner whose life is defined by discipline, resilience, fascination with preparation, an intolerance for wasted time, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. What Anderson discovers is a man riddled with contradiction, defined by both a prolific career of unmatched success on the field and the agonizing cost of greatness in his personal life. Lars Anderson is a “New York Times” bestselling author of twelve books, including “The Storm and the Tide” and “The Mannings”. Light refreshments will be served. To reserve seats for this special author event visit Eventbrite or graveslibrary.org. Seating capacity is limited, so early registration is recommended.
