STEVE ROSS PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW – HIDDEN KENNEBUNKPORT
Please stop by the Business Center at the Graves Library to check out the current works of Steve (Roscoe) Ross. The Kennebunkport photographer/garbage-guru/handyman and uber-environmentalist seeks to capture a moment or feeling that’s triggered when he strides Gooch’s Beach at sunrise or visits Cape Porpoise harbor at dusk. This series is called “Hidden Kennebunkport” and will be up through Spring of 2022.
Born in Montreal, Roscoe has been mesmerized by photography since childhood. He was a young model at Max Sauer Studios and later joined photography groups in the city to hone his craft. One summer during his 20s, he stuffed a Canon AE1 into his backpack and discovered that “Europe was the perfect place to play around with photography.” Even today, he still treasures his hundreds of Kodachrome slides of schooners, forests, gardens and people.
The Library is located at 18 Maine Street, Kennebunkport. Please call 967-2778 for more details. We are grateful to the generosity of Kennebunk Beach Realty for sponsoring this Exhibit! One-half of all items sold will benefit Graves Library.
