EVENING BOOK GROUP – via – ZOOM MEETING FORMAT

The Evening Book Group usually meets the last Thursday of every month at 6:00 p.m.  If you would like to participate in our meeting via Zoom, please call the Library (207-967-2778) to be added to the invitation list.

This month, the meeting will be held on WEDNESDAY, June 24 at 6:00 pm.  A link will be sent to all participants early in the day to access the meeting.  We will be discussing  Wildfire Loose by local historian, Joyce Butler.

Many people still recall October 1947, when Maine experienced the worst fire disaster in its history. Wildfire Loose is the definitive history of those terrible and exciting days.  This remarkable regional history book was written at a time when many of the witnesses were still alive, yet before the time of the internet and digital media. A tour de force of old fashion research and dedication.
