The Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI) is partnering with the Maine State Library in support of this year’s Oceans of Possibilities theme. Please enjoy these resources, provided by GMRI, pertaining to this year’s theme:

Gulf of Maine, Explained
This series of brief (<5 minute) videos present nuggets of scientific information about the Gulf of Maine in an easily digestible format.

Community/Citizen Science Investigations
GMRI’s community science program, the Ecosystem Investigation Network, features two investigations that you can participate in to contribute to scientific work regarding the Gulf of Maine. There is one focused on tracking invasive crabs in the intertidal zone, and another focused on documenting coastal flooding resulting from sea level rise.
