Car Wash Story Time
We are so excited to partner with the Maine Classic Car Museum again this summer for a very special story time on Wednesday, August 14, at 10 AM.
Music, stories, songs, buckets & sponges! Be prepared to get wet! What car will the Maine Classic Car Museum bring? For toddlers to preschoolers.

We are very excited to host local authors Maureen Lee and Jennifer Cooley, to read from their latest children’s book in their A Puppy in Maine series, on Thursday, August 8 @ 1:00 in the Community Room. Maureen Lee is a primary care physician who first fell in love with Maine while attending medical school in Biddeford, Maine, at the University of New England. She enjoys reading and traveling in her home state, as well as making time for bird-watching, hiking, photography, and painting.
Jennifer Cooley is a teacher in Kennebunk, Maine. Raised in Maine, she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in education from Cedarville University in Ohio. Jenny loves to read, paint, travel, and go on adventures with Summer.
Summer is a fun-loving Golden Retriever pup who loves living in Maine and spending most of her time at outside. Some of her favorite hobbies include jumping in the waves at the ocean, spying on the neighbors, and stealing socks.
Nature is My Muse with the Center for Wildlife
Nature as my muse. The Center for Wildlife will present an hour of wildlife education and art featuring live animals as models. The Center for Wildlife is a private, non-profit conservation medicine and environmental education organization located in Cape Neddick, ME. Pre-registration is required for ages 6+.

Maine Author Barbara Walsh
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Barbara Walsh will discuss her new book “Spencer: Boston’s Beloved Marathon Dog,” a story of hope, inspiration, and a dog who lit up the world with his love on Thursday, April 25, at 3:15 PM. With a heart as big as the Boston skyline, Spencer gained worldwide fame as the beloved Boston Marathon dog. For eight years, the golden retriever cheered for thousands of runners in the cold, freezing rain, even as he recovered from cancer. Spencer began rooting for Boston Marathon runners in 2015. At Mile 3, Spencer held his Boston Strong flags, inspiring athletes and fans to be brave and never give up. Honored as the marathon’s official race dog in 2022, Spencer grew so famous that runners lined up to hug and photograph their loyal fan.
