TELLING ROOM

The Telling Room – Thursday, March 12, 3:30-4:30 PM

Do you want to write and publish your own book? The Telling Room’s Young Emerging Authors program is a free, paid, 15 month-long writing and publishing program. Every spring, we select four Maine teenagers in grades 8 -12 to write, edit, and publish their own books. Join Devin Gifford, a junior at Dartmouth College, YEA alum and author of “The Unraveling” to hear about the program. She will discuss the process of writing a book, as well as help get your own writing going with games and prompts. This program is for students in grades 7-12, and pre-registration is encouraged. Light refreshments will be provided.

The Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library is located at 18 Maine Street, Kennebunkport. For further information, please call 207-967-2778 and ask for the Junior Room or visit www.graveslibrary.org.

WRITE ON

Write about the place where you grew up. The sights, the smells, the sounds. In a short memoir. In a poem or a song.

Write about today. Your worst fear or your greatest hope for the future.

Or… share what you are working on now.

The muse hasn’t visited in a while? Participate by simply listening and sharing your thoughts.

It’s Summer! Let us move forward and WRITE ON!
